    Is XUSOM W.H.O. listed yet?

    Advertisements

Is Xavier W.H.O. listed yet? If by chance a student in the Premedical program decided that he/she wanted to transfer to another university, would the credits transfer in full? Does anyone have any knowlege of anyone transfering from this school? How many students do they generaly accept each term and what is the minimum G.P.A. for the PreMed program? I attempted to call the Mass. office several times. Noone answered and I even got an error message from the local phone carrier once. I'm very interested in the program but I have my reservations ...can anyone help?

I can tell you that no Premed program is transferable at any Caribbean school, Once you start the 6yr MD program you are "Stuck" there the whole time, if you go and get through premed and then half way through Basic sci and want to transfer to another school into 2nd or 3rd semester MD you can't cause they will not accept the undergrad you did.

MYMD, you're right SABA and MUA are owned by the same person, but they are two different schools, two different islands, two different admission processes, different reputations, different professors, and I can go on forever.. so it really does not matter if they are owned by the same person because having a degree from SABA is not really the same thing as having a degree from MUA. And yes, SABA does accept pre-med from MUA Nevis, mostly because as you said the same person owns the school. Im not sure about MUA B, but I doubt it..

HP has it right - I have PM at least one person who did pre-med at MUA-N and transfered to Saba. So it can happen.

Yes Hocus thats my point, SABA and MUA N. Owned by same people so they allow the transfers to take place and that is unique, the rest is not like that and you are still "STUCK" witht SABA and MUA N. in this situation, ( not that it is bad) I just want premeds to know it is not the best thing to do all the undergrad at one of these schools, much better to do it in the states or Canada even at a CC.
