    from GMCgroup

I was talking to school officail somethign you should do, they reffered me to GMCgroup, and then when i called GMCgroup and talked to Dr.****** i realized he was an Iranian Jew and i told him my story. He told me they offer clinicals in over 45 states all ACGME approved for Cores and Electives, and they told me they will promise me rotations that well be best suited with respect to my USMLE step I score.

Dr.******* also told me since the school has a alot of hospitals in different states it tries to have the gradautes of XUSOM to obtain Pre-match residency position threw the hospital affliation and the Residency Directors that have invested money into GMCgroup.

My next question to the Dr was how many Residency Directors are involved with the GMCgroup company?

DR: MANY and everyday new investers and educators and Doctors join the fight, to provide Maximum number of educated physicain to the workfield, such as the gradautes of XUSOM.

I believe the 23-31 people that have gradauted this year will all pre-match into their residency of joice.

    we will wait and see

How does the fact that he was an "Iranian Jew" tie into your story?

Xavier fundamentally has a good set up but it is way to early to classify it as a good school. They have too many campuses in too short a time span.

Also, their hospital group also owns the medical school. They are a greased business machine, more inclined to maximize dollars than focus on one medical school....oh that's right, they have three now?!

Anyway, just don't believe the hype. Let's see how many of their first graduates match and where. Then, let's see a list of their clinical spots in the 45 states and look for a validator. A lot of these new schools talk big.....read the fine print. Take care....

    Thanks

Thank you all for your insight. Both views were helpful. I am still looking for some more input on Xavier's 6th semester clinical rotations. Any further info about it would be greatly appreciated.

    caribchic...............

Also, if there are any former Ross students who transferred into Xavier, I would LOVEEEEE to hear from you guys. I can definitely get the real scoop from you.

    Ross to Xavier

I know Ross has its problems. Many Ross parents are getting upset about the out of hand, yearly tuition increase, and they are going to court with Ross (devry). Despite all said, I don't think there are many students who would go from Ross to Xavier. Xavier is new and growing, but I think it would be hard to find a student who did so.

    Mozman I agree

I didn't get the Iranian Jew thing either.
Maybe he mean't Xavier is a minority friendly school? Cuz sometimes that is a good thing.

    To Taki:
Hey Taki. Thanks for your insight, but as a former Ross student I can speak from experience. I personally know that Ross is screwing over a lot of students in terms of not only the high tuition cost with absolutely nooooo service, but people are not passing the boards. I know many ross students who did very well in the basic sciences, myself included, who are not able to pass the boards. If it were one or 2 people i would say that it is the individual, but it is a huge number of students. this is unacceptable. ross is not doing what they should be doing inorder to ensure that it's students are passing. i think the problem is that ross does not give it's students board style questions during the 4 basic sciences semester and this is having a grave effect the students' ability to pass the boards. and if you do not pass...u r stuck. you r unable to rotate until the board is passed which sets a lot of people back several semesters. and on ur third try or if u have not passed in a year....they kick u out. this is unfair and this is why u may see many many students transferring into other universities from ross. this really sucks. but anyway...thanx for ur input.

    so sorry about the boards!

Yeah, I now about the whole USMLE policy, tuition increase, etc....., .
I know AUA became what it is because of Ross transfers.
by the way, for USMLE take Kaplan! for four months! study night and day! you will pass!
    Best of luck
