You can save you breath. Anyone who is even considering going to a school like this (or two dozen others in the Caribbean like it) is delusional that he/she will ever become a doctor, and won't listen.

Sigh. Yeah, it's always great when complaints about a medical school (however legitimate) turn into race-baiting.

UPDATED: It may have been so at the time but Xavier School of Medicine I can affirmatively say, has taken tremendous strides with the leadership of the current President to grow the program over the last 8 years and it's still continuing today. Xavier is both accredited by CAAM-HP and ACCM, something not even the Top 4 of the Caribbean has. The Top 4 are accredited by CAAM-HP except Saba, who handed its accreditation rights to the NVAO respectively. There is brand new state of the art campus opening up at the end of 2019 at Xavier. You can watch the preview on Youtube under their channel and also be sure to check out their Facebook page and website.

Also, ALWAYS make sure to check the CAAM-HP and ACCM websites for the schools that are properly accredited.

    Cheers!

Just a completely inaccurate and blatant false advertisement by Idktriple6. Readers, please google your information on accreditation directly from the sources.

Xavier has "Provisional Accreditation Extended, 2016-2018" from CAAM-HP.

From the ACCM website it states, "Accredited since 2015. Conditional accreditation to May 31, 2018. Further three year conditional accreditation granted to May 31, 2021."

Ross, AUC, and SGU all have higher levels of accreditation, non-provisional in the case of CAAM-HP and non-conditional in the case of ACCM.

Saba is not subject to CAAM-HP accreditation, as it is part of the Netherlands so obviously only requires NVAO accreditation. What possible reason does SGU, Ross, or AUC need accreditation from two bodies when both are considered NCFMEA acceptable, it would be a waste of money.

Overall, you are saying your better than the "big 4" caribbean schools when in fact a quick google search shows Xavier has conditional/provisional accreditations, both lower tiers than the other schools lol.

Just a completely immature and biased comment by "lightningstrike." He wanted to "reiterate" exactly what I just wrote previously to make himself look like me, lol

I am not saying the Big 4 are beneath Xavier. I am simply stating that it is both accredited by CAAM-HP and ACCM. Xavier School of Medicine has come a long way and I was just stating facts. I also "clearly" said Saba handed its accreditation rights to the NVAO....can you read??? How does this translate being better than the Big 4 schools, when I just said Xavier is accredited by both CAAM-HP and ACCM??? Also it is 2018....it doesn't matter about tiers anymore fool. This isn't the past anymore. As long as a medical school is "appropriately" accredited by ECFMG 2023 guidelines, you can get a residency and practice in the U.S.A or Canada.

Also, when did i say I was better???....You said I'm better than the big 4. You meant to say the school Xavier. You need to go learn how to articulate a proprer English sentence, buddy.

Also, it is not a complete waste of money. It shows that the faculty of the school cares about being accredited by all agencies recognised by the WFME and United States standards and is willing to take that further step in the accreditation process, (Dual Accreditation) which is amazing.

You joined ValueMD in October 2014 and are still a Junior member. I joined this year in April and already am a Junior member.

It just goes to show who there are people like myself on forums spreading knowledge and facts.
