Did ANYONE match this year at all???

Last year, a lot of noise was made about the high match rate. Of course, it wasn't said that the most of them were scramble spots in the first annual clusterf#ck known as the SOAP...when the programs just turned off their filters and started looking at everyone. Now that the programs have figured out how to use the filters to their advantage, did ANYONE match...scramble or otherwise???

That's a very discouraging statement. But you are completely correct,obtaining a residency spot is the objective! Nobody cares if you were able to ace all of classes, if you fail your step 1 or step 2.

This thread is old. However, an XUSOM alumni from 2014 matched. Here is the information and proof below.

Michelle was recently matched in the 2014 Family Medicine Residency Program at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center.
