    XUSOM vs. USESOM

    Advertisements

I know I know another XX vs. XX thread.

But i REAAALLY need some advice input....if anyone is willing ot take some time out and shed some light on this.

im transferring into clinicals at either. if ppl can give their experience and input about clinicals and whether they are greenbook vs. not.

how good are the clinicals? clinicals in Hospitals vs. clinics that just "affiliated" with hospitals.

    you personal experience and preference.

schools reputation out in the "real world"? i know carib schools in general dont have such a good reputation, but still one can be better than the other.

your input is HIIIGGHHLLY appreciated! thanks

University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine is better by far. They have a great clinical program with lots of placements. XUSOM send you too crap rotations and the pickings are slim.

Sint Eustatius has one of the best clinical program out there, the reason i say that is that all of its clinical students tend to agree to that standard. Most of the hospitals that are affiliated with Sint Eustatius are GREEN BOOK (HUGE PLUS), NO wait time, very organized, pass the step and your ready to roll. If you graduate from Sint Eustatius, you are qualified to practice as a doctor in 47 out of the 50 states (only kansas, cali, and new mexico i believe you can't practice in). Check their website tho.

I would say Sint Eustatius in a heart beat..

Note: SESOM is known for it's clinical program.

No, i do Not work for the school. I'm a student at the school.

If you take the time to look at my previous posts, you would notice, i was debating which school to attend (there were a few i was looking at), and at the end i decided to go to SESOM.

then u did good thing ....

i end up coming here and i am not happy at all ......i like weather , locals are nice , professors are nice,,,,,but students are horrible .... competition of team or their gang formation is so high ...and it gets nasty ..

well let me know ur experience there .....i might want to move from here ...if security is being concern.........

I doubt this is still active, but what are the requirements into USESOM regarding SAT scores? (for direct premed)

I don't know the requirements for the premed program, your best bet will be to call the school and ask them. Also if you have any specific questions regarding USESOM, i would highly advise you to post them on the USESOM school forum, and not on a different school forum, that way you will get more help.. Good luck.
