    Premed program reviews

    Advertisements

My son was going to join the premed program at Windsor but was told that the premed dean does not provide guidance and did not show up for orientation. I heard that Windsor in general is getting better, but maybe we will pick UMHS because they have a med program which seems to be comparable to Windsor but with a stronger premed program. My son has some science background but struggles with genetics and some other basic courses.

I have heard that the dean of research is actually from Harvard. He is very good and gives Windsor some credibility as far as having professors from North America. I have heard that his research courses are very good!

I would not worry about the premed program. It is of little relevance in relation to Step 1 and is only there to satisfy state requirements for prerequisite courses in science.

UMHS will charge more for something that will make no difference in the long run. Eligibility will be the same in the same states as Windsor.
