    Windsor acquires CAAM-HP accreditation

    Advertisements

So I just got news that Windsor got accredited by the CAAM-HP (basically a Caribbean medical school accreditation board). Did some research into what this means and found out that the policy announced back in 2011 stating that starting from 2023, anyone who wants ECFMG certification must be a graduate of a school that is accredited by standards comparable to that of American schools (which are accredited by the LCME). Apparently CAAM-HP is one of the first such boards recognized by the ECFMG to oversee this process of re-evaluating schools in the Caribbean, and Windsor was just approved.

From what I understand, this makes Windsor look a lot more legitimate and hopefully the school is recognized more widespread in the US in the near future. Just thought Id pass this along to anyone who hasn't seen the news yet.

    Good to hear. Thanks.

Hopefully this means the next steps required come a bit easier.

Do you have a link to support this, though?

There was an announcement made on one of the facebook groups (https://www.facebook.com/groups/2599...group_activity). Couldn't find any confirmation on the official website, probably because it hasnt been updated.

It was always funny to watch Windsor kids react to older, white adults on campus.

"I heard New York was here..." was such a cliche response.

I think that the reason, this school was giving updates to the school in Poland, was because they were trying to obtain more connections with US schools via association. I think that they had a hidden agenda while intentionally trying to cause commotion and distraction in a particular student's personal life. It was made evident by how they mishandled his student loans.

Newbies like me may not realize the significance of this accreditation, but it's definitely a solid step forward for Windsor.
It gives permanence to the school and peace of mind to incoming students.

This is true. I can't imagine an accreditation site not being updated frequently, but here is a link and the last update seems to be last October. If the meeting was six months ago in March or April, it should be up there by now.
