    Hello everyone,
We are now officially under ONE MONTH until we find out if we matched!! I created this thread so applicants can communicate with each other about our experiences and thoughts leading up to Match Day. Wish everyone good luck!

I think we have two active members that applied for it.

Good luck to them, although I think one of them said they were offered a position or already told by a hospital that they would rank the applicant very high. I'll let them chime in about that if they want.

If anyone needs a reminder, these are the past results, although I'm sure it's far from comprehensive. Alumni Windsor University Clinical Students Association

Hey, quick question if anybody knows. I contacted the illinois medical board today to see the state requirements for temporary licensure.. they said that you must have completed 2 years of undergrad/ premed. I went to Windsor after highschool and did one year of premed (90 credits).

Has anyone gone through the process, or does anybody have any additional information on this topic?

There was a girl in my class two years ago that had this issue. Call Dr. Margol** and ask him what to do. He deals with these kinds of things and I think you might have to take some community college credits, or something, to get the hours.

I am not sure how much the premed program will help you there, but again, talk to Dr. M.

Programs can still choose to opt COMPLETELY out of the Match, and offer all of their internship positions outside the Match. Not very many will take that step, but there are some programs out there that do so... as houmd illustrates!

devildoc8404 is correct. It's an all or nothing thing. Either you're in the match and take all your residents from ERAS/NRMP/match, or you're out and the applicants still use ERAS to send their apps to you, but you offer official positions to them without going through the match.

The caveat is that if a program operates outside of the match they're automatically excluding all American graduates. It's a risk some (not many) are willing to take.
