Is windsor accredited for Florida residency?

    Advertisements

I know there is a thread about Florida residency and consensus is that windsor grads can apply for residency there. But then why UMHS is applying for Florida accreditation? I am NOT talking about license after residency which I know we can do. I am talking about residency.

UMHS is applying for students to rotate.

Foreign medical students can not rotate (3/4th year) in Florida.
Foreign graduates can do residency and practice in Florida.

A similar law is in the pipeline for the state of Georgia.

Analysis of Different Caribbean Medical Schools ~ Medical School Memoirs

Well according to this blog it is not approved in TX and Florida. Windsor has a resident in TX so may be Florida is fine too like you said. Eustatius is not listed here and as far as I remember they don't have residents in Florida. This is so confusing.
Well I hope Florida is prohibitedonly for rotations like you said.

What is confusing? The only thing that has to be approved is rotations for Florida. Nothing needs approved for residency and licensure for neither Florida and Texas. Texas considers applications on a case by case. I believe a foreign medical student can do ONE rotation in Florida which is a Pathology elective (at least at AUA).
