Nope, dnt think so. If i do have a successful admission to Windsor University im not planning to waste my time. I have looked at other forums about all the technical stuff like the admission process, housing, basic sciences, clinical sciences, USMLE, residency etc but i just wanna have my other questions answered. Not that im planning to enroll in WUSM to goof off.

Come on now people. He came on here looking for help with some questions. Didn't you all have questions as well before going to the island? The least we can do is answer them without sarcasm and disrespect.

The school in general is decent. Good campus, decent teachers (some good, some not so good). Be prepared to do a lot of self studying. Go to the island with the mindset that you're studying to pass the step. Not just to pass the block exams. Just keep your head down and don't cause waves with the school. Don't be one of those problem students. Curriculum is modest. Not too difficult to handle. But it will require a lot of hours put in reading and studying.

The general demographic is maybe 55:45 male to female ratio. With a breakdown of 75% middle eastern, 15% Nigerian, 5% Asian, and 5% Caucasian (at least that's now it was when I was on the island.

Social life is there, you just have to know where and when to look. There's a place called "the strip" which is a row of beach bars that's open basically 24/7. That's where the general populous goes to drink. There are a couple other schools on the island (Ross vet and UMHS med school) who also frequent the bars. The strip is normally pretty busy, but around 1am it starts getting very sketchy. So sometime before that is when you want to head out. There's always a place to party if you know where to look.

Any other questions don't hesitate to ask. I'm sure everyone on here would be happy to respond seriously.

Sorry swoll, you're right. Guess I'm just a little jaded after spending 2yrs of basic sciences around thugs that didn't care about patients or medicine in general.

And to the OP, no offense but if you type like you're a thug people aren't going to take you seriously

Thanks SWOLL and @ houmd, im sorry i guess you are right. This is a medical forum and it should be treated as such. I do have another question about the Pre-med program because thats the one that i chose to apply for. Whats are the courses that are undertaken in PreMed 1-3?? And how is the note taking process during class? Do the professors dictate and we the students copy as the lecture or..

75% Middle Eastern? You mean Southeast Asian (Indians, Pakistanis, etc.)? There aren't so many Arabs there.

Premed courses are always changing. It's basically courses that would normally be taken in undergrad, so general and organic chemistry, basic microbiology and genetics, a biology course, some basic biochemistry, etc. You take the lighter versions of these classes in premed and then the proper ones in MD, like histology and anatomy and physiology.

    Just a quick geographical point...

SE Asia is Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, etc.

SW Asia is essentially the Middle East.

South Asia is India, Pakistan, etc.
