    Amazing!

Don't the backward id***ts who run this school not realize that presenting a polish, professional school image is good for business and is good for the students who ultimately graduate and look for residency spots?

most of these naiive windsor students on these forums dont realize that NY & Cali medical boards read valuemd, and even the tampa bay article. and they have a very bad impression.

    cali approval? NOPE

    ny appoval? NOPE

HOW THE HELL DO I KNOW? I talked to the people of these boards already. Now I know the Windsor "top students" on here will also somehow have a totally diff opinion on this since they too "talk" to NY & Cali officials.

Any reason why the school does not list the administration/faculty on it's website? I know the website is crappy, but they can list this essential information even on a crappy website.. At the same time, they go to great lengths to show the picture of the Gazebo a zillion times!

Just as the "top students" have a different opinion, the same could be said for the "bottom students". While I agree there are major issues with Windsor, at least they are evident and people know what they are getting into. AUA has major issues with the way they handle loans, Ross is having trouble with people getting into clinicals, etc. Im not comparing Windsor to these schools, just stating the obvious that every school in the caribbean is going to have their problems - that is the way this system works. If you have major issues with Windsor, then my advice is to either choose not to attend, or transfer. Why continue on these boards with such negativity? Move on and focus your efforts on your next endeavor.

your right and its true what your saying, you know i never understood why people come and nag on a forum like this, if you really give so much pooh pooh then go do something about it and if you can't there is not much point in writing up blogs about your daily life on a forum just confusing the heck out of people that want to attend the school. why can't other let people come thru and get thru without wondering so much cause to be honest i have seen far too many students succeed at windsor without issues to complain enough about the school, yes the faculty isn't all that organized and sometimes to get a answer to your questions you have to ask more than 3 times but hey are you really here to improve and build the school? or here to get your education and move on with your life? and that goes with any other school in the Caribbean, they do have issues like crazy windsor isnt first, i have friends that went through all saints, but they made it through fine and now clinicals, when i asked them what they think about the school all they said to me was "don't really care we're getting our education and are happy with it now just want to get out of here and write step one so we can start clinicals and don't care where as long as they are legit" and this is coming from students who did 4 years of undergrad not just 1 or 2yrs also this was when they were in school. windsor has been providing good clinical rotations to majority of the people who get through i would say, b/c i have made alot of friends during my time at windsor and only about 10% of them really complained about small things. If people really hate windsor that much then don't come here and if your all so smart why even think about coming to a caribbean school? shouldn't you be getting scholarships to medical schools back home? i don't have the need to share my reason for joining windsor, im sure everyone has their own and very different reasons as to why they are ending up at windsor or Caribbean school in general. The truth is every school you go there will be problems but its up to you, if you want to run after them or you can just be organized enough to pay attention to little details as you go along throughout your semesters. im sure when you get to rotations you can check with hospital what kind they are and ask all the questions you have b/c no one puts a blindfold on your eyes before you start your clinicals as well as important steps in your life and also its the Step 1 marks that count like they say it takes more then a medical school to make doctors and step 1,2 and 3 is what really make it when your coming from a Caribbean med school which pays off with excessive amount of studying, i'm sure some of you will go running out of your way and finding out who i am an getting my background info don't worry i'm not perfect and nor am i trying point out that i am. just a regular student like many of you who has complications of his own as well.

I will most likely be attending Windsor in Sept as an MD-3... I would like to live off campus with a roommate or two that I assume have been there for at least a semester (and are cool and want to beat up boards)... I'm not bragging I'm just saying I'm a cool laid back pretty smart dude & don't wanna live in dorms cuz I'm 27... I have checked out Windsor facebook; should I start a new thread or something? Does anyone have any suggestions about how to line up a place with a couple of people that are in need of a new roommate dude and have been there & scoped out the island???

You could start by posting an ad in the classified section of ValueMD. Also, there are no real "dorms" per se. Most places are like smaller apartments. And of course you could always just move in to school housing for your first semester and wait until you meet a group of friends you feel comfortable enough to move in with...as opposed to never meeting someone and moving in. That is the precursor to a plethora of issues.

take swoll68's advice its good to live on school housing until you make some friends, cause meeting em over the net is like a blind date you wont really know how they are until you meet em and if you don't like em cause they turn out to be completely different then how they described then you will hate your self a whole semester lol. lots of people end up moving around or dont get along but then are stuck for a semester sometimes. good to make some friends in real real life an see if you are comfortable to live with them.
