Thanks kananaskis girl! Any chance we can get a new mod who's actually around? I'm not sure why you guys are so hesitant to have another mod aside from MDIN2009, who (no offense to him) hasn't been logged in since 10/24, and before that I recall it being a few months again.
I know houmd wouldn't mind being a moderator. Nor would I.
Swoll for mod!![]()
I wouldn't mind doing it either :-)
Thanks kananaskis_girl for finally making this a sticky. I did request this thread to be made a sticky long ago.
It doesn't mention anywhere about a bachelors degree, is it not needed ?
No a bachelors degree is not needed. Certain states require a minimum number of undergraduate credit hours to obtain a license (IE. Illinois requires 60 credit hours). But I have yet to see a state require a full 120 hour bachelors degree. Just be sure when you come to the island that you have the minimum number of credit hours already. Because PREMED COUNTS FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. No matter what anyone tells you, it counts for zilch.
Yes, but if you have only one year of undergraduate work (about 40 credits), would you have trouble getting residency or state license? Also, can u just do some other credits online?
HOW MANY STATES OUT OF 52 STATES ACTUALLY REQUIRE ANY UNDERGRADUATE CREDITS HIGHER THAN 40 CREDITS?
@ Windsor_premed: Look at the FSMB Charts.
FYI, I do not know of anybody in residency who has not completed their undergraduate degree.
