    Total expenses

According to your experiences, is it realistic to attend to this school with a total budget of +- 12k/year (2 semesters)?

Does their financial plan (wich is supposed to cover ALL) Windsor University School of Medicine - About the Country is reliable and realistic?

    Thanks.

And yes, camineree, there have been reports that the president of WUSOM has recently passed away. Some people just show a lack of sincerity and couth in situations like this. The worst part is that I'll guarantee some of these people on here will be taking care of patients (assuming they actually graduate and get residency) they dislike more than our recently deceased president. Will you be pleased when they die too?
    Oh no, sorry to hear.

Yeah, it allocates it, I guess, but rent has gone up to something like $800 a month for Frigate Bay resorts. It's like 1.25 months worth of rent "allocated" basically.

Had to look up the term "couth" but you're wrong. I would actually guarantee that none of the people that come on here to bad mouth the school, or worse, the late president of the school, will be seeing patients in their lifetime. They're usually those that had to quit med school because the school "scammed" them into actually passing classes instead of B..S...ing their way through it. They're sour about it. Oh well.

I just hope his family doesn't read this. Actually, now that I've said it, someone will surely link this thread/post to his children to stir up more drama.

And such is life at this university full of uneducated thugs, sprinkled with a few good apples trying to make it through. If the troll thinks the President won't be able to "enjoy the money," the troll forgets his family will probably use that kid's tuition money for a ceremony and memorial for Dr. G, and the troll will still remain a salty dropout.

Deal with housing on the island.

Buy an extra laptop charger, a surge protector with multiple outlets, a 1 TB portable external hard drive (not the one that requires AC power through an outlet), a few long ethernet cables to connect your router to the ethernet port in the walls.

Bring a Proctor Silex hot plate and some utensils. Pots and pans can be had on the island, but if you plan on cooking to save money, leave pots at home and bring just a hot plate. Paper plates and disposable cutlery are cheap on the island.

Bring medications. There is a pharmacy on the island and it is cheap, but bring as much as you can. For anything serious, talk to the admin at school and they will call in a script for antibiotics, or something, if you were to fall ill on the island.

Don't waste space with bringing food. Someone suggested bringing a suitcase full of Mac and Cheese boxes because the island was "too damn expensive." I didn't. I later found out on the island the Kraft Mac N Cheese was 29 cents more expensive than the States. 29 freaking cents, and this dude dedicated a suitcase to it and cereal bars. Later found out he was a Guju, so it all made sense.

Some suggest bringing a printer. No. Print what you need in the States and bring it with you. The only thing I can think of that needs printing that will be used by you on the island is Pathoma notes. But that's for MD3 and 4, so print the book out in color and staple by chapter and bring it to the island then. You do not need a printer. If you print out your notes and write on those, then that's dumb and you can pay whatever it costs to print on the island, which isn't that expensive anyway.

If you stay at Royal and I think some other resorts (not Sugar Bay or Angelos) there will be a flat screen TV in your room. 27" I think. If your laptop supports HDMI output, bring an HDMI cable or two with you so you can view videos, Skype, etc. on your flat screen TV. Lecture videos. Your "other" videos are fine in SD.
