    Clinical exam after each rotation

    Advertisements

Hello does anyone have an insight as to what the new rule in regards to clinical exams after each rotation is? vs taking a final exam at the end of MD10
    for clinical rotations?

Also does WUSOM let you take your Step 2 during core rotations? or do you have to complete your cores before taking Step 2

    Thanks

Take the rotation exam as soon as you finish the rotation.

You take Step 2 whenever you want, after Step 1.

where are these exams to be taken? Is there a fee we pay for the exams?

What is the difference between taking the exam after exam rotation vs taking only one in MD 10.

Is it graded on a pass/fail basis.

    Thanks

    Chicago. Yes.

The former is like a final for a class. The latter is a comprehensive exam for every class/rotation you've taken.

Rotations now come with percentile ratings compared to your classmates. They are or will soon be letter grades with percentages.

    Thanks Pns11.

What is the fee for the exam?

Would you suggest taking individual exams for each core or one final exam.

    Thanks

    You need to do both.

    Are you clinicals as yet?

nope...far far away....However, I am looking to transfer to Windsor...so wanted to check what all that will end up costing me aside tuition and clinical surcharge...Dont want to be surprised with some 2k or even more fee!

My advice would be to worry about this once you are actually in clinicals. My assumption is you are not transferring to Windsor for financial issues, because it is not much cheaper than SJU. There is a breakdown of clinical fees by Swoll in one of the threads, and all is explained in there.
