Cost of seeting up clinicals w/o a group or the school

    Advertisements

For those who have set up there own clinicals without the use of a group such as *****, AICG or Access did the hospital charge a fee an additional fee or did the school pay them via the surcharge fee? I am trying to calculate how much money I need to save or raise in other to rotate (outside of the tuition & fees). Thanks for any help

I have never setup my own simply because I could never afford to do so. A lot of my friends setup their own electives in Chicago and the fees were $1000-$2000 per month. Also, you'll have to schedule outside electives at least months in advance. Some rotations in certain hospitals were up to a 1 year waiting list. Plus there's a few hundred dollar application fee (not refundable if you don't clear for whatever reason) and you'll have a lot of paper work to fill out, basically everything you have to submit for clinicals will have to be submitted and verified for EACH outside elective you do.

Do you have to pay extra to the agency in addition to what you have paid to Windsor?
