    Greenbook Rotations?

    Advertisements

    Hello everyone,

I am a student transferring to Windsor SOM from Sep '11 in MD2.

I was wondering if someone who has done the clinical rotations through Windsor could confirm if Windsor has ALL greenbook rotations? In other words, I was wondering if I will be able to do all my rotations at greenbook hospitals, given that I pass step 1 of course. I wouldn't mind if I have to move around from a place to place in the US as long as the rotations are greenbook.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you all for your time.

Thanks Sonia for the reply! Really appreciate your work around here.

Anybody else who has done all greenbook rotations at Windsor and can talk about their experience? Would be nice piece of information for everyone!!

Just make sure Surgery is Greenbook. Surgery is one residency thats always open and if you do it grrenbook you will for sure get matched in it.

Wow are you serious? I thought Surgery was one of the hardest ones to match into.

sorry but sonia is incorrect, surgery is a competitive field. It is by no means dermatology but still requires a 225 and up usmle score, great lor's and work ethic. Just because you do a green book rotation means very little. It is required, but their are 1000's of applicant with green book rotations and not nearly as many spots. Unless u got a 225 and up, have connections or produced published research, your chances are next to nothing. Do your research

pre-lim surgery maybe (1 year program), categorical surgery (5-year), you're nuts. categorical requires much more than just doing your required surgery core and it is very competitive. i think you need to do a little more research before making statements like this

I don't think anything is "easy" to get into, especially being from a Carib school. We have to work 10x as hard as non-IMGs.
