    Rotations in CHICAGO

    Advertisements

    Greetings to all,

finaly took the step and got the results and passed believe it or not, now its time for rotations in U.S BUT I have NO idea about chicago. ive read that its the place with most green book rotations and least waiting time in between. IF anyone out there feels like lending a helpin hand to a lost soul it be great... mainly info regarding rooms and green book rotations and waiting times, i will be in chicago by the end of March if all goes well and hopefuly can return the favor somehow.
good luck to all of you out there

congrats, contact the clinical coordinator in the chicago office. let her know you passed. she will then give you the email and phone number of the lady that assigns rotations in chicago (shes called Dr. B-------) She will then email you all the paper work you need to get done, get those done and mail it back to her with a $50 money order and they will schedule you. As for a place to live check on chicago.craigslist.org and look for room or appartments in UIC area, Downtown, Hyde Park, these are some of the areas a lot of students reside. Goodluck

i recommend that you register with both dr b and kim just in case 1 of them does not have a rotation available you can go to the other one. keep in mind that neither one of the coordinators has all rotations that are "solid" greenbook. some rotations are green because they are affiliated.

Thank you both for your info, especialy for the areas for rentin McNasty. i havent been given the details of the two coordinators yet, waitin for the email from windsor. is it also true that the waitin period is less for ppl with high step 1 score or is it another windsor myth?

most likely a myth, as long as you pay tuition on time you shouldnt have much wait times

Has anyone done any rotations at Norwegian in Chicago? Any feedback on the electives, quality, hours, attendings, etc?
I start an ID elective there soon.
    Thanks
