do you have to have all of your cores done before applying for residency? or can you have 1 scheduled (and finished by oct ish) and still send out applications in sept?

what happens if I submit an eras application and all for 2011 match, but get a bad score back on cs or ck....can I still go through for the 2011 match as long as I have a passing score in by march 2011? Any advice here? Just worried bc my studying hasn't been up to par lately...(although I'm fixing that now).

any helpful hints bout the match? (img friendly places, tips, etc)
would be very much appreciated !!!

Well you could apply without have your cores done... You could probably get interviews based on step 1 scores alone if it was a high score. But a lot of programs prefer step 2 Ck and CS scores too(especially for IMG's)..Depednds on the program criteria as to when they need the scores/ECFMG certificate by.. some need it by March, some by program start date and some need it to be considered for interview...

i dont know this personally but the students and residents i meet in clinicals say that there are many programs that prefer or even require passing ck and cs score before september 1
    Step 1 [X] Step 2 CK [X] Step 2 CS[X] Cores: [X] Electives: [X]

Exit Exam [X] Graduation [X] ECFMG Certification [X] Match [???]
