    passed step3

    got my result today. I passed with 82.

    Thanx so much for all ur support!

    - for the exam I just did kap-q bank, q-book and NMS. If you are thorough with the explainations under each Q in these q-banks that is pretty much enough to pass.

    - My average on Kaplan Q-bank was 70 and on kaplan full length-66. On NMS I averaged 62.

    - Practise CCS very well. Do at least 20 CCS cases using the software i.e; use the sample ccs cases sent by FSMB. Use the same cases for typing orders for the other 20 cases. With out looking to USMLEOnline ccs cases just type in ur commands in the order sheet. Later compare your orders with those given in USMLEOnline. In this way u will know what all you have missed and also will be confident in typing the orders with this software. Do not forget to change location, esply home. If you forget this pt will stay at hospl itself. This leads to low score on Continuing care section.

    Congratulations! Thanks for the suggestions.

    how long for results

    Hi! I took Step 3 on October 27 & 28th with the new FRED program. I just found out from their website that an additional 4 weeks may be expected before results are received. I was wondering if anyone has taken the exam in October with the FRED program who has received their scores. and how long it took to receive? Thanks.

    Hi, guys!
    I'm an IMG and I've only passed step1 (still waiting for the score); I have to organize this year meticulously to be able to apply for 2006 match. Please help me with a few issues:
    -how much time do I need for cs preparation? and how long before do I have to register? I've heard that it will be quite crowded this year, but still, I don't think I can go for cs before I take step 2 (a few month from now);
    - about step3: how much time would I need to study for it and what books to use? also, is the score as important as those for step1&2?
    10x a lot!
