    what exactly is d tilt test for a case of dizziness????

    A tilt test is to make sure that your sympathetic nervous system responds to increase SVR once you change from the supine to the standing position. Therefore, it is used to detect orthostatic hypotension and similar conditions. The CS BRS has this test because one of the differentials for dizziness is orthostasis.

    Don't actually perform the tilt test......rather include it in your list of investigations...

    Tilt test...

    Somebody posted a while back how they performed the tilt test on a pt. They were not supporting her properly and she fell and hit her head. They wheeled her out of hte testing center on a c-spine. Imagine how she felt when they told her she did not have to perform that test

    Its possible they were doing the Dix-Hallpike test. I don't see how someone can do a tilt-table test during the CS exam...unless its Arnold...
