    step 2 ck qbanks?

    Advertisements

Hi all, i'm just starting 3rd year, and wanna do some questions in correlation with my rotations. Does anyone know of a free qbank available, similar to wikitestprep.org ? I know this site is shut down for whatever reason, just wondering if anyone else knows a free one, just so i can start. Also, if someone can help me on the "BEST BOOK" question, I would love to hear some opinions. I've heard the following:

    1. Step 2 Master the boards by Kaplan
    2. Step up Medicine
    3. First aid Step 2 CK

Personally, for step 1, i used my first aid as an outline, and wrote most of my notes inside of the book, and used it as my main source, and scored 90+. is there a book for step 2, that I can do the same with? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Here is what I am using at the moment (these were recommended to me from other students):

    USMLE WORLD QBANK
    Step Up to Medicine
NMS CaseFiles surgery + Kaplan Surgery
    Blueprints Pediatrics
    Blueprints OBGYN
    First Aid for Psychiatry Clerkship
    First Aid Step 2CS

I'm not using First Aid Step 2CK because a lot of students have told me that it is too general.

I know this thread is a bit old, but def. use UWORLD qbank for Step2, and I also have the First Aid for Step 2 CK and after going through it, there is no comparison between this book and the Step 1 book. The Step 1 FA is far superior in terms of subject layout than the Step 2 book, I don't like the Step 2 book at all. I was told by reliable people that already sat for the Step 2 that UWORLD and Kaplan Lecture notes are all you need to pass with a good score. Of course whatever books you use during rotations will help also, but I don't think there is any real good, single review book such as the First Aid Step 1 book that you could use for Step 2.

From what I recall, I've used Boards and Wards (read it cover to cover X2), FA 2CK (breezed through.) in addition to UW qbank (did most Qs), and did great.

i would just use usmleworld for step 2 and step 3. kaplan has a TON of wrong answers to questions in their step 2 qbank. and step 3 qbank is even more atrocious.
