I am praying for you. Let me give you a hug.![]()
HI,
I'm trying to reach out to anyone who has gone through what i'm going through now, and has succeed.
I have taken step one 3 times, and each time scored 181, 178, 180. (73/72%).
I studied with kaplan/Fa/Q bank(ave 70%)/NBME(got ave of 380)
i had study partners(all of whom have passed), and was a very positive influence in the discussions--infact on days i'm not there, they leave conflicing q's for me to decipher later. when we did our exams, they were so sure they were going to fail(i had a 60/40 feeling), and i would end up encouraging them. But when the results come its a different story.
I don't know what i'm doing wrong. i'm tired of people telling me it will be ok. each time i study i feel "what is here that i don't know now?.
I feel embarassed amongs my peers, and feel i am a let down to my family.
i feel so sad i don't know what to do.
I'm weeping as writing this email, because i really don't know what to do.
i pray someone out there who really understands prays for me and reaches out to me.
thanks in advance.

check out www.*************.com - they have had many students who have been in situations as yourself that have succeeded in passing and some of them ended up scoring over 200! PM if you have questions about falcon--i don't work for them--just took their step I course and i thought it was great.

I think you are almost there buddy, don't give up now that you are so close, I don't have your experience but for every img, passing the steps is a big challenge in our lifes.
I think you got the best package, you already have Kaplan, FA and the experience from the real exam; be more confident on yourself, come to the forum to get support from others in your same boat.
I saw some advice people left, but I think you don't need to spend more money on kaplan or falcon, it's just You who will face this exam, just get really ready for your next time sitting in front of that computer.
People say tha nbme can give you a good idea about your real performance, but I heard only if you get over 500 you can be sure that you will ace the exam.
Good luck.
Can anyone tell me whats the difference between Falcon and Kapan Review?
They are both USMLE course preps. Kaplan has been around much much longer than Falcon. Falcon is cheaper than Kaplan. Kaplan has more options such as live lectures and in centrer prep.Originally Posted by Anonymous
I have taken the Step 1 three times too. First one I got 113, second time 160 and the third time 177, so now you know someone whos on the same boat as you. You just have to review and practice questions. You have the knowledge, you just have to apply it. I know its hard because I ve been out of the practice now for one year and a half, but life goes on and we are almost there, so dont give up, ok.
