When to start studying for USMLEs?

    Advertisements

    Hello,

I am currently in year 1 of a 5 year MBBS programme. Basic clinical sciences for me spans 2.5 years followed by 2.5 years of clinical rotations. Between year 1 and year 2 I have four months of summer break, however, between year 2 and year 3 I have only 6 weeks of break. For the subsequent years, I will only have 2 weeks of summer vacation. Should I wait until after graduation to start prepping for the USMLEs, or should I try to study for it after my basic clinical sciences and take it sometime during Year 4???
