    243/98 and experiences

    Advertisements

I got my step 1 score this weekend 243/98.
I got a lot of help form here. It is my turn to contribute.
    Experiences:
    1. I studied intermittently for a long time with full time job.
    2. This exam is not easy, testing your knowledge, energy, spirit and stamina, not only books.
    3. FA is useful for outline.
    4. If you want high score, you have to really understand the contents well.
    5. I used the books recommended by FA. I did not attend Kaplan lecture. Not saying Kaplan is not useful. I am planning to use Kaplan for step 2. Which set of books is not very important, the important thing is you have to be prepared well.
    6. Simulated scores: q bank: 72% 2 month before, USMLE CD 89% (practice test 1 week before), Kaplan simulated 75% 1 week before, NBME set 1 600 1 month before, NBME set 2 630 1 week ago.
    7. Practice test is useful to accommodate to the environment of the test center.
    8. After exam, I understand this exam is really not easy. I think I should pass, but not sure what my score will be, high or low.
    Wish everybody a good score.
