Hey...I just found out I failed Step 1 twice. I was wondering if I should take pass program in chicago or Kaplan live prep now?

What was your preparation for each attempt? Why were you unsuccessful? These are questions that you have to answer before you start spending a bunch of money.

I see this scenario often on this forum. You have to be brutally honest about your strong and weak areas and study things the way that works for you, using materials you understand well. Ignore posts like "here's my study plan for 260 etc etc." You don't know that particular persons knowledge base, their medical background or intelligence. Of course you want to use USMLE Wold and some of the more popular resources, but beyond that tailor your study to your needs.

Someone else on here talked about knowing concepts and I think this is true. Memorization alone will not allow you to pass the exam.

Also I think you have to be realistic. With only a certain amount of time to study it may not be possible to get a 99. Set yourself a reasonable goal that you think you can reach.

    Did you write NBME's?

I will happily oblige to help others that have or are suffering from my past plight. In fact it was a four teen k fully guaranteed pgm that was the real solution for me. This was decided based upon the fact that after doing the cost-benefit analysis in terms of losing 2 years vs losing only a slight amount extra vs my $260k in loans it was a “no-brainer.”
Just email me (doctoroz _ file_ all1 at yahoo dot com with common sense applied to create the correct contact!i..e, remove spaces and replace "dot")).

yeah this guy talks a lot of nonsense, can someone regulate him? I checked out all of his posts and they don't make any sense

Hi there!!! I understand where you are coming from. I failed Step 1 three times until I took the Pass Program and got the KissPharm lecture series. I studied the material and for like baylor13 aforementioned, pharm was my hardest subject. I too used KissPharm and in just under 2 weeks my barsshifted to the right in pharm! Its a new style of teaching where repetition is key. Well long story short, the 4th time around, I finally passed with respectable scores.
