Please seeing you guys results is encouraging to me. But I have lost hope because I have taken step 1 about 7 times and step 2 about 4 times, rightnow, I don't know if I should just find another career. Please I do need everybody's advice on exactly what to do. Please be honest. Do not make me feel good. Do you think I have a chance of ever passing again.
    Thanks,
    The very Disturbed!

I am not a 100% sure about this, but almost all states in the US require that you pass each step in less than 6 attempts. So even if you pass Step 1 on your next attempt, it is highly unlikely that you will get a residency, because a residency will not accept you if you are ineligible for licensure in that state. The odds of passing decrease after every attempt. According to the lastest statistics on the usmle.org website, one has only 39% chance of passing on their second attempt.

    Congrats!

    Nice job, st_55!
I used to pray and pray for a bike and never got one. Later I learned that God doesn't work that way... so I went out and stole a bike and asked God for forgiveness.
