You definitely have a chance based on stats of others accepted there but somebody going there should chip in for better idea.

You'll have no issue getting in. Most non-Big 4 schools will accept anyone who can pay the tuition. Just make sure you have ur finances situated and prepare to study ur tail off because its a up hill battle in the caribbean sea.

    Hey Guys

I was wondering if I could be invited for an interview with a 2.4 cGPA, 2.3sGPA, and 26 (9s on the sciences and 8 on VR) on the MCAT.
I have reasons for the low GPA that I can explain, but have good ECs with 2 years of research and good recommendations.
Graduated in 2014 with a Bachelors in Science from a Top 10 public institution.

    Thanks

^^I know, but any advice about how to approach the applications and what sort of schools to apply to would be great.
Obviously I won't get into the BIG 4 with those stats and to be completely honest, I don't want to go to schools with that many students as I prefer smaller class sizes. But I would love to go to the so called "2nd tier" schools as they are perfect in size and offer good education. I would especially love to do the ARP at UMHS or the BSEP at AUA to prove to these schools and myself that I can handle the course load. Do you guys think I have a chance in such programs? Other schools I am applying to include MUA, SMU, and Trinity. What are my best options here?

I think you have a good chance at UMHS ARP. Go ahead and apply before you spend money applying to these other schools. PM me if you have any specific questions.

You may have to do a post bacc or something to bring ur GPA or at least show a upward trend in ur grades to be considered for any of the Big 4. To be honest, Ross and AUC will most likely interview and accept you to the MERP program just because it is a cash cow program for them. SGU will prob not even offer a interview and Saba possibly might not but if they do it will be with an automatic acceptance directly to MUA not Saba.

Out of the second tier schools I would prob say MUA and AUA are the best. AUA is really expensive so I would prob attend MUA. Only flip side is that AUA is on a very developed island with a nice campus/facilities. MUA is pretty much a old house/building sitting on a island but they do have a nice match list. If you are a US citizen/from the states I would advise you to look into a SMP Masters program and apply osteopathic or consider a diff field. Reason why is because majority of people down in the caribbean do not end up matching or even graduating. I've seen a lot of good hardworking people come here and end up having to return home empty handed which def makes me feel sick to my stomach. It is def a emotional roller coaster and adjusting to island life is rough. Ultimately, its ur decision.
