    1) institutional loan: $1000-$5500, credit based, needs co-signer
    2) lots of promises about an impending loan option although that has been going on for a while now.

you can do a masters degree to be eligible for FAFSA and get up to $20,500...but even with both you can barely get by in Basic Sciences (only if you get max institutional and max FAFSA). When you get to clinicals, it won't be enough since tuition goes up to $12,000.

Does the institutional loan provide funds based on credit, meaning, ok credit gets 1000, and better credit gets full 5000 ?
or does it simply work on the basis of if you are approved, you can get 1000 to 5000 ?

Also, does anyone know the minimum credit score needed to get the Insitutional loan. Thanks !

    Hi,

Loans are based on credit, academic merit and need. There is no minimum credit score required, however, the better the credit the more likely the loan will be approved and the larger the amount approved may be.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Since the loan does not cover the full tuition, can current students shed some light on how they have been able to finance their education? This is a lot of money for someone who is studying full time and is not working. I've heard about the Davenport masters program, but that takes time away from medicine. Thanks!
