    UHSA a scam? PLEASE COMMENT

    Advertisements

So I sent in my application to UHSA, and now I'm having doubts as to whether or not I really want to go there (this is based on what I've read here).

I've browsed this entire board, and come across both negative and positive things about the school.

So in a nutshell, can someone (preferably a UHSA student) tell me if it's worth the trouble and effort to get my MD from this school?

    Thanks

Not a student at this school, but I know a lot about licensing in the US.

    short cuts = short careers

Be careful, more and more states are wise to this MD by distance learning and will not license you! Go to a proper bum-in-seat school with external approvals. There are many better options open to you. Shoot me a PM if you want more info.

    Consider yourself warned.

Search the forum for better schools.

In my opinion, the odds of securing any residency in the USA or Canada are slim right now for IMGs/FMGs....even with great USMLE scores and graduating a reputable school! Everyone needs to be concerned about investing the time and money in an education that may not pay dividends. Sure, there are risks in all aspects of life but minimizing them is prudent.

    Good morning

The history of success in transforming medical students into successful medical doctors can be easily found using the different sources available of information.

UHSA has excellent faculty, plenty hospital sites to conduct rotations and most of all great members in the administration side that have very clear the fact that students are the main reason of existence of the school.

    I wish you success!

    UHSA - questions -

Anyone already graduated from UHSA ? How is it after graduated? I mean getting licensed in USA or its territories and Commonwealths like Puerto Rico?
"Going to questionable schools only increases those risks. " // "Consider yourself warned"
--Why is UHSA-School of Medicine so questionable? Is it because the online or distance educational program they have for the first 5 trimesters in Program B -School of Medicine?
    Thanks

    UHSA good option

I extend an invitation for you to visit the UHSA webpage. Please go to the alumni section, there you will see some examples of UHSA graduates with the information of their official documentation from the state board. UHSA has actually two licensed medical doctors in Puerto Rico and this next August 14 another puertorrican doctor will graduate. He already matched in the internal medicine residency program of the Hospital Municipal de San Juan.

If you consider this a questionable school, after you do your research please let me know.

    Have a pleasant day.

This is not a matter of a decision

This is not a matter of a decision this is a matter of facts. UHSA has been the last 27 years giving medical education to thousands of students that currently are medical doctors in different parts of the world not only the US.

We are a reliable institution that is is constant search to improve. We have been working in a very aggressive way for the past three years to make a reality great improvements in the school. Better faculty, revised medical program, many hospital sites, MY UHSA (student information system) and other great projects that will benefit the community in Antigua.

    Have a great and pleasant day;

So is no one allowed to comment or state an opinion on here Ms. Roman? I am interested to hear others responses and you keep shooting them down, stating "Go to the web site". They are not looking for web site responses. They are looking for real human beings on this forum to give them advice. You continually giving the same statements over again makes me wonder about the validity of the school. Let the voices of others be heard. I am just now researching schools and I want to hear what others have to say.
    Thank you.
