I just found out that there really is a fee waiver for the $75.00 application fee; it is called the "Early bird application fee waiver". However, you must send a copy of this flyer along with your application. This sucks for me because I sent my application on Dec 8 and I called the San Antonio office to see if they will still honor the waiver, they refused.I could really use those $75.00 specially now since it's Christmas. I just think it is really lame that they do this at this point of the admission process, specially when most applicants have sent out their applications; these are the true "early birds".
Well, I am just posting this in case there is anyone who can benefit from this. If you don't get the flyer send me a private message and I will forward it to you.
Ohh, almost forgot, this is only for Fall 2009 Class
Application must be postmarked no later than Jan 15 2009
I tried posting the flyer directly in this thread, but I do not have that privilege yet. I need 20 posts.

It would be good news if they waved the $1500 fee.

Well, to the privileged rich people above, I assume. I am aware of the high costs of medical education and still for me $75.00 does make a difference. I am currently covering all my expense on my own with no loans, and even if I had loans I will try to save as much as I could. So, if $75.00 makes no difference to you, I will gladly accept a check/money order for that amount.
In addition, if you are not going to benefit from the waiver then I consider your post unnecessary. Your post does not contribute to anything.
well i know it's pricey to pay $75 for an application...i went through college applications via fee waivers and fee reductions. i took ap tests for 55 a pop as compared with 85...i sympathize with your situation. you could talk to the admissions people in san antonio to see if they can waive it due to your circumstances.
but uag does make you pay a $1500 deposit upon acceptance to its school, not to mention other incredulous fees. the posters above were trying to make you aware of how much more pooh pooh you'll have to pay if admitted.

These upcoming 1st semesters are a "trip"; we have stubborn bicycle riders, freaked out students of how poor guadalajara is, some wont drive the frontera due to its dangers, extremely poor where the last penny count as ridiculous as it sounds AND the worse sense of humor of all the preceding classes. Good luck and please send your address. I will stop sending my check to world vision and send it to you instead!
Save your $$ for photocopies.
Food that americans like costs more then in the US, a lot of things do.
Rent will also be a shock when you see what you get for your money.
