    Starting Pre-Med May 07 Semester

    Advertisements

I just recieved notification of my acceptance into the program for May 07. Not all of my science credits were accepted for transfer so I am required to complete 2 semesters of pre-med. Any advice regarding housing would be greatly appreciated. If anyone is interested in discussing housing or roommate options let me know.

    -Thanks

Cool. When are you flying over ? I'm flying in on May 1st. The student affairs office is apparently arranging an airport pickup.

    Hi guys!!
Airport pickup is on April 30. They will provide this service to those arriving before 4:0pm.

UNIBE DR is one of the schools I will be applying to in a couple weeks. Do students from the US get to opt for clinicals in the US?
I also noticed that it seems everyone going to UNIBE DR is required to take some element of premed, regardless of their transcripts. Is this a fair assessment?
I wil still lack Physics, and I don't speak spanish, although I know how to piont to beer. Do they require you to still take all four smesters of spanish if you are in the english course?
One more question,,, I understand the financial aid from stafford is about 6500/2 semesters for the premed. Tuition is 5000/semester. That leaves a balance of about 3500 just for tuition.
How much more do you think it will costs for rent, food, etc?

I guess what I am asking is the total amount you guys think it will cost to attend. I know once you get into the medical program aid goes up to 18500/2 semesters and the tution is still 5000/semester, so that will help alot. but for those first 2 semesters of premed, That is where I am trying to figure it out. I know that everyone lives differently, just trying to get a good idea from a students perspective.

    All comments are appreciated

You are eligible to do one semester in the states (or trimester as they call it because they have 3 per year). You must have a GPA over 3 to qualify.

Actually there are 5 levels of Spanish buddy! If you don't know anything, you will have to start from level 1. Everybody has to take Spanish 5 as that course is for Spanish medical terminology.
