Hey everyone,
Was wondering if you guys think I would get in and what my other potential options be for applying?
Thanks for your time.

This is incorrect. DO's match as CMG's (Canadian Medical Graduate) in BC and MB, and have the same practicing rights and compensations as a MD.
Granted, from my knowledge, you'll be considered an IMG for the other provinces when it comes to matching. If the designations bother you i guess you should just pursue MD.
Nope. You have been misinformed in that regard. A specialist makes what a specialist makes, post-residency the MD or DO credential is immaterial at that point. There are significantly fewer DOs in Canada, yeah, but with the possible exception of an outlier who only does OMT (part-time?), a DO is board-certified and will make the same salary as colleagues with MD (or any other physician) credentialing.
With that said, a DO would probably have to complete residency in the US before jumping back to practice in Canada, but barring some personal circumstances... so what?

I just found out that I'm " on reserve at UCC, UCD and TCD" so there's still hope !
If you are Canadian it really is up to you whether or not you want to go abroad to the UK or go DO in the US. Both will give you the opportunity to train in the respective countries.

I know this is a really old post but does anyone have info on international students applying to 5 year programs (with a bachelor's degree already completed)?
You can also apply without giving any entrance exam at St. Vincent Medical University, in the Doctor of Medicine degree program. This university offers medical courses to international students with a scholarship option.
