    Unlocking a thread...

    Advertisements

Hi, I was wondering if http://www.valuemd.com/st-georges-un...hophys-11.html could be unlocked.

    Why it was locked:
EV posted [think of a bad word that begins with cluster](again there might have been a word censor or it was self-censored.)
So they said the median was 64% and they added 20 points. And the average is 76? Hmmm...I don't know

And then they have the balls to expect better from us in the future, while we "bear with them".
When the median grade is a fail, shouldn't it say something about
    A) quality of teaching
    B) quality of the exam
    C) all of the above

    What a cluster! lol

Crispy's post which had a military phrase...can't remember the exact phrase but it's something like whiskey tango foxtrot. This too was edited...
There is a phrase that is more PG rated that the Air Force uses around higher officers and when children are present that would fit this week

Hope everyone did okay on pharm today

    Orthonut's warning:
I am NOT coming back here to edit again. This is your final warning everyone. The next TOS violation I'm closing this thread.

the straw that apparently broke the camel's back?

djhc's post: replace moderator edit with [think of a bad word that begins with cluster] (or some equivalent censoring)
wow this class seems like a [moderator edit]

After reading through the evidence, I'd like to assert that the thread in question is very important to the current 6th termers as well as the 4th termers at SGU. Locking such an important thread for the above petty infractions is simply incredulous. I understand that these are violations of the TOS, but this just seems to be blown way out of proportion...especially if there is a word filter in place (because *that* is the purpose of a word filter)

I'd like to hear some feedback from the other moderators/admins. Thanks for reading.

edit: since i got a warning in another thread for simply mentioning the word (using underscores) to explain why the thread is closed. I'll edit this post to remove TOS-violations and so the focus will be on the opening of the thread and not this post.

I appreciate your thoughtful, reasoned and above all, respectful request.
While typically a thread wouldnt be closed down mere because of language issues, if tos violations are repeated after an explicit request from the mod, its not unreasonable. I should also add that merely because the language is common in the military vernacular, doesnt mean that its ok from a TOS standpoint. Having said that, because as you say, the thread is important, and because the nature and manner of your request is so reasonable, Ill unlock it. Please, users, return the good faith by abiding by the tos.

If you get a warning, put on yer manpants and stop whining about it.
