    repeat test taker

I took the step 1 again (4 times), and bombed. My score this time 152 previously 161. I do not want to quit medicine and I know getting into residency will be difficult and I really do not know what job I could get. Is there any advice you can share, and specific testing program you can advise expect for Kaplan, I am not fond of their program.

    See my previous posts.
It took me 4 attempts to pass step 1, I finally took a Falcon Course and it really helped me, I was getting high 160's/low 170's but after Falcon got a 196/80.

It is expensive, but really well worth it. I also used them for Step 2 ck and passed first time with another 80.

I managed to get 4 interviews this season and hope to match in March so don't give up. You will just have to bust your butt in clinicals and get GREAT LOR's and try to match into a less competitive specialty.

    Good luck!

P.S. You should also consider getting tested for ADD as it may be effecting your study abilities.

    1. How did you like the falcon program and would you take it again?
    2. What were the negatives?
    3. What was a typical class day?
    4. How many practice tests, quizzes etc did you have?
    5. How much tutoring did you have and could you describe the tutoring sessions?
    6. If you had to do things over what would you do differently. Is there anything you would prepare prior to the program?
    7. Do you recommend a different program or approach after completing the falcon program?
    8. Any other info you be appreciated.

    now to answer your questions...

    1. I would definitely take it again, it was really good and helped me with my score I am sure!
    2. Price....that's all i can think of, but if you add up all the meals and accommodation it really isn't that bad.
    3. 6 to 8 hours of lecture, then back to your room to review and do some voice recordings
    4. Occasional subject specific quizzes, but nothing substantial, we did get a uWorld subscription included and were encouraged to do questions at night which worked very well.
    5. Tutoring is available upon request, there is q and time during lectures too. I really didn't feel a huge need to tutoring as the lectures were so informative.
    6. Can't think of anything
    7. I followed the program pretty specifically, took 2 weeks after the course to do questions and did Secrets. Worked well for me.

    Good luck!
