    Finding Housing with Pets

    Advertisements

How difficult is it to find housing that will allow indoor only pets? I know the import process is lengthy but what about finding a rental that allows pets?

    Thanks

    Contact Tessa Hyde Property Mgmt.

Tessa Hydes Property Management, Cayman Islands

They should be able to help. Start early and you will be fine. Follow the instructions on paperwork for pet entry into Cayman and you should not have any issues.

    Hello,

Effective May 2008, the Residence Suites will allow cats in the apartments. Unfortunately, We will not accept dogs for noise reason.
If you have another kind of pet, please email me for questions.

    Thank you,

don't take your dog to cayman. Extreme hot weather and lack of devotion to your dog is cruel.

I completely agree. It was a long process to get my dog down there. We brought her down for one semester. She got bit by something (indoors) and had an allergic reaction needing immediate vet care. Luckily I was around at the time. She was frustrated by the lack of attention because I was so busy and preoccupied with studying, and she started to get fat because it's too hot to do much outside. None of these reasons for not bringing your dog is stronger than Swamp Cancer. It's a disease that, once you know your dog has it, they really have no chance of surviving.

I adopted a cat in cayman, even tho my contract said no pets...my landlord was willing to let me get a cat. It worked out great. Its more of a hassel to take your pet out of cayman....cayman makes you get a permit in order to just leave cayman. you have to have a rabies vaccine, a vet check up, up to date immunizations, and the fee for approval. (all things a person should have anyways...but I had to do these in cayman costing $$$)
