    Naika,

As far as the accreditation goes, you can check the schools website (martinus.edu). to double check (for your own peace of mind) you can check with ECFMG's website. YES, the school is accredited. We do not have CA or NY accreditation as it is the case of MANY (expect 3-4 if i'm not mistaking) international schools. But there are always ways around it for NY but DEF not CA (that is that you cannot practice in CA as the law stands today!)

Clinicals are there. You may hear stories and whatever, but i have 2 friends now who are starting clinicals and they decided to do them before their STEP1...

The Profs are GREAT and they are hard. Medical school isn't easy, and they are making sure that your basics are covered WELL above other students. So smile.

Will you get a job in US... that depends on you, your grades and most importantly your STEP1-3 scores! and that goes for ANY medical school, in US or the Caribbean.

There are always negative points in any school. number one negative thing is your attitude toward your education, in any school anywhere in the world, if you study hard and know what you need to know to kick that USMLE in the rear, nothing else matters. All i can tell you is that i feel comfortable and safe here at SMU and i'm enjoying the education i am getting and i am confidant in it.

Curacao is probably one of the safest islands in the Caribbean. It is very easily a head and a shoulder above many medium size US cities. You have everything that you can ask for, fresh groceries, costco like stores and ... Curacao is also a big tourist attraction spot and has many interns who come here from holland and are about our age! so no need to worry about safety at all.

it is okay to ask questions, no reason to be sorry about it! Use our website (martinus.edu/Curacao.html) to get more info. Also, get in touch with the admission office to find housing BEFORE you get on that plane or start looking now! The website also has links for housing contacts.

    Cheers
