    Lies Lies and Cheese

    Advertisements

    Hey Kids,
So I'll admit, I occasionally skim across this valueMD site to catch up on my reading, but I finally feel I have to say something about the HORSE TRASH that people post against St. James. Listen, I go to St. James, its not much, a nice white building with green shutters, but all you carmugens need to step inside to really get a grasp of all the great stuff you learn at St. James. First, the teachers are AWESOME, Dr. Jasperse, Dr. Zeitvogel and Dr. Kingsley along with all the other great doctors have a sincere dedication to making sure that not only will we become doctors, we will be the best doctors possible, and they have really great teaching methods to make sure that happens. Also, the curriculum is awesome, lots of in depth material that allows you to surpass the usual way of thinking and lets you see things like a real doctor. The students here are great too, we realize its hard for everyone to leave their family and friends behind to come here, and sometimes that can be real tough, but we help eachother press through. Now for all that Xavier stuff, yeah I'll admit, Xavier looks nice, the students prance around in uniforms (OH, I guess its the uniforms that make them so stuck up, I wave to them when I see them around Bonaire, but clearly my civilian clothes are not up to their caliber of high society and fashion and they ignore me) and they go to school behind tinted windows and a gate (OH MY!!!) But you have to understand, their degree isn't worth the paper its written on, they lie (my friend went there and they told him they would rearrange their credit scale so he would have enough to graduate with in three semesters, and they dont have connections with the local hospital, and they have hardly any kids there (if you try to negate that part of the argument by saying it was just started, well, then you deserve to go to a medical school started a few months ago, go ahead, apply, I'll pick you up from the airport.) You see my friends, base your medical carrer on you ambition, and your drive to suceed, then seek out a nice place like St. James to help you meet your goals, simple as that, no fancy junk, just something you can look back and be proud of. And you know what, Im proud to go to St. James, it is a school that has, and will continue to meet and surpass my expectations and the expectations of my fellow students. Also, its great to go to school with such AWESOME people like Frankenstone and JPryor.

Hope you all have a great day,

    Love,
    chesfrogcentral05

cheese is awesome dude, I went to cultimara yesterday and bought a big hunk of Jonge Kong cheese, who the heck knows what it is, it was in Dutch or something, but it was yellow so it looked right, and when I took it home, it tasted right..... and I melted a big chunk of that sucker in fettucini....dude....it was AWESOME.

    funny stuff

"Also, the curriculum is awesome, lots of in depth material that allows you to surpass the usual way of thinking and lets you see things like a real doctor."

can't say too much about a curriculum until you see step one pass rate, and what is the usual way of thinking at other med schools. how do any of us know how a real doctor sees? until we are out in the world seeing pts none of us has any clue about what being a doctor is...

"The students here are great too, we realize its hard for everyone to leave their family and friends behind to come here, and sometimes that can be real tough, but we help eachother press through."

that is the only way to get through this.

"But you have to understand, their degree isn't worth the paper its written on"

neither is yours until you have a record with licensed graduates, not residents.

"they dont have connections with the local hospital"

who cares? as a first year med student you are only qualified to empty bed pans. all the stuff you read about in biochem, etc is so rare most doctors see a handfull of cases in a major city in their lifetime.

"well, then you deserve to go to a medical school started a few months ago, go ahead, apply, I'll pick you up from the airport.)"

well then you deserve to go to a school that started in 2001 and has an impressive 3 (three) residents

nothing against either school just thought i'd point out how silly the psot was comparing one unproven school that is 3 years old with another that is less than a year....and i love cheese, went to wisconsin once and loaded up on the stuff

    some impartial observations

---chesfrogcentral05 is an extremely innovative name.
---chesfrogcentral05 has a writing style that is very very familiar, reminds me of somebody.Well the last paragraph gives the person away.oh we at first semester call this same person the "want to make a comment
mole".Hint-it is definitely not our beloved jpryor. We love jpryor and we all beleive that the "comment mole" is trying to enhance his position by dropping jpryor's name.we are sure jpryor understands.we love u jpryor, you are the best. You are our mast head at med1.
---this school is awesome because of a lot of professors and a lot of other students, not just 2 or 3, and definitely not because of the "comment mole".This school is good inspite of the baggage "comment mole" and his ilk bring to the school.
And most importantly administrators SEE THROUGH attempts of students who try to be MOLES.
There is no need for moles at SJSM,every student is garanteed a rotation.
And that's why SJSM is great and thats why we are the fastest growing school in the Carribean.
Viva SJSM-one for all and all for one-but no brown nose moles needed!!!!
---about rrod-dude we have really pissed you off because you hold our being new as a handicap.how about coming to the island, seeing us in action and burying the hatchet-we will pay for your air ticket with a collection.Hell you could stay in my palace!
But the challenge is still on rrod, we will be in the top 4 in a very short while.

    PEACE

TROLLS HARM THE SCHOOL FROM OUTSIDE AND MOLES FROM INSIDE.

I COULD NOT AGREE MORE.THE SHAMELESS SELF PROMOTION BY THESE MOLES IS JUST TO SUCK UP TO MANAGEMENT.
THE WHOLE SCHOOL SAW WHAT HAPPENED WHEN DR **** WAS HERE.
THEN WE SPOKE TO DR.##########.HE ASSURED US THAT NO STUDENT WILL BE GIVEN ANY SPECIAL DEALS.ALL STUDENTS HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO GET ROTATIONS.AS A MATTER OF FACT THE SCHOOL
KNOWS MOLES ARE TURNCOATS AND WHO CAN TRUST TURNCOATS

    no ax

just pointing out unsubstantiated claims. don't need to see your school, don't care wether it sinks or swims just pointing out to prospective students that these claims are not worth the crystal lcd they are written on. sj may prove to be a great school but it isn't anywere close yet and prospective students need to know that no matter how much a student body likes a school it isn't enough for the burocrats granting a license.

burocrat: "your school doesn't use cadavers for dissection, no state of the art 3-d models, no plastic s[ecimens, your school has less residents in it than a john tesch concert, no one is licensed yet, but you like the direction is headed and the faculty is really nice....well in that case here is your license.." ...hehe

i's like to point out the odds of a new school over the last few years:

    1) schools that have promised students a ton of stuff, were headed in the right direction, had innovative curriculums, and all that they left students with is debt. Grace, IUHS, MCL, Kigezi
2)schools that have actually delivered SMU
3)your competition in the new school business: IUI, AUA, Xavier, SC, Vanguard, add that the big money players of SGU, AUC, Ross, then Saba, MUA anb i would ask at what point does the market get saturated?

odds just ain't pretty are they
