    Spartan or St. James?

    Advertisements

I looked into Spartan and St. James. Look at CAAM-HP and World Federation for Medical Education. I am staying away from St. James. I've done enough research to understand what they are doing---they are booting out a lot of their students after they get the money. Check out the WFME website and see they have a super high attrition. Other posts about St. James warns you not to go here. One post suggests calling Lorna Perkins from CAAM-HP. They have many complaints about attrition. Don't let the rich get richer! they want your money and they won't follow through unless you make up the 20 or 30% who can get through the program. are you the 20 or 30%? dont take the risk.

Do you calculate the attrition rate considering the left (admitted) vs the right column (graduated) from 2014 to 2017?
I hope not (it would make no sense to do admitted/graduated for the same exact year).
So you take the 2017 graduated number without knowing what the 2012-2013 admitted number are?
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Because if you calculate the attrition rate that way AND if you base all your rhetoric on that kind of calculus, then let me tell you Spartan would have an attrition rate of 38% while St.Matthew (grand cayman) would have an attrition rate of only 10%. Now, don't you think you should go on the St.Matthew forum to promote that school too...and a long way over Spartan?

Also, St.James Anguilla started their program in 2010 with a very few admissions. So if you start calculating nb of graduated from 2014 (as it appears on WDOMS) then your calculus may be distorted.

Don't fall for my detractors! Choose a better school. There are schools with low attrition, and you can have peace of mind that you will finish the program. It makes sense to go to a school where the likelihood of you getting in, passing, and moving forward is all in your favor. This cannot happen at St. James, not with the attrition rates and the complaints!

Trust Jasher! Im a jedi knight of getting to the bottom of things!
