    Classes and Clinical Rotation Questions

    Advertisements

So I'm trying to understand several things.

1- Classes- What's the timetable like for MD1/MD2. Meaning how many hours are you there for

2- Test/Exams- How many tests for a class like Anatomy. Is there weekly testing or a midterm then final?

3- Anatomy Lab- I see the fee for cadaver is 300$. Dissection Kits I presume are a must along with a lab coat. Is the lab tested by bell ring?

4- Clinical Rotations- Price is an extra 3000$ Wow! Anyways is there a long wait between rotations? Are the hospitals on the website the only ones or are there more.

Ok MD1 I was in class from 8-5 no joke. labs are from 3-5. I imagine the cost for clincials is to pay US hospitals to teach us. It is my understanding that NO the list is not ALL. I have spoken with the clinical coordinator and it seems there are several more and also I am assured again and again there is NO wait. I have heard from people in clincials it is very smooth process. Normally no wait to get clinicals. But I imagine depending on where you want to go to do clinicals if you are open to moving then shouldn't be an issue. Oh exams are once a month so 4 total exams.. Some quizes here and there. Practical 50% and lecture 50%. St. James is what you make of it. It is a chance to sit for USMLE if you listen and learn you will do well as long as you work hard. I doubt there is anything on the USMLE that the professors haven't told you. IF you don't listen don't study then well that is all you.. if you do well then honestly they gave you what you needed.. best of luck to ya.
