    Anguilla Housing Available

    Advertisements

1 bedroom/1 bath: water, gas, cable, and internet included for $600/month. Electricity is separate, I pay roughly $50/month. Minutes from groceries(walkable) and school(car or bus). Very safe and quiet neighborhood, I live in the unit above. PM me for more details.

    Hi, is this still available?
Do you know of any other reasonably priced places?? I'm hoping to start in Jan 2013 in Anguilla.
    Thanks.

I'm a mostly-retired American living in Anguilla. I live alone in a large beach
house at Blackgarden Bay. I have a furnished studio apartment for rent.

Although only six minutes from The Valley by car, this is an isolated, remote and
very quiet area, away from the usual barking dogs and crowing roosters. The
apartment is in a separate building from the one I live in, and has its own
bathroom and built-in closet, drawers and shelves. Shared use of washer and
dryer, upstairs in same building. It's best suited for a single person who has a
car or bike. Rumours of bus transportation in Anguilla are false.

It has minimal cooking facilities -- a microwave, toaster oven, electric crockpot,
small frig and kitchen sink. There's a double bed, tables, chairs, fan. Property is
directly on a small beach. There are lots of trees, birds and the snorkeling is
excellent. Pelicans dive for fish, turtles nest on the beach and iguanas living in
the surrounding forest, all of them endangered species.

I do consulting work, via email, mostly with colleagues in London. I work and
sleep at odd hours and lead a very quiet life, so while I encourage you to go to
parties, drink lots of beer and make a lot of noise, I hope you'll do it elsewhere.

The rent of US$650 a month includes electricity, water and an always-on DSL
connection that Cable & Wireless calls broadband.

Best wishes from the sunny Caribbean...

    Bob
