    Financing education

    Advertisements

The stafford loans only cover up to $18,500 yr. How do most people from the US finance the rest of their expenses? Alternative loans? If so, what are some worth taking a look at?
    Thanks.

    loans...

The rest of the tuition is covered by a private loan from Ed-Invest Health care loans. This is the loan company that the school currently uses. If you have good credit then you can get a loan out in your name or if you dont have credit (or bad credit) with the help of a co-signer. The school tries to maximize the stafford loans so you have to take out less of the alternative loan.

    RE: Loans

You're not obligated to go through Ed-Invest, but the school does facilitate the loan process if you go through them. In addition, there are a number of no interest grants and scholarships based on academic merit offered by St. George's if you think you qualify.
