My friend, an applicant, had that happen at SGU and we wanted to know if it was routine or not (the referee notified the applicant since they are good friends too). Please do not hastily make accusations; fraud is certainly un-acceptable and not a desired attribute for a future physician. Thanks!

for me they did, but that was because the prof didn't include the university letterhead
