I misplaced my medical kit order form. Does anyone has a scanned copy? or May I have the address and phone number to the company? Thank you very much.

If you search the forums, you'll find the general consensus is that you don't need that overpriced kit, especially not first term. Some people may want it for PD/St. Vincent/Clinicals, but the salesman comes down every term, so you can buy it on the island if you really want to waste the money.

lol thanks, I was thinking about buying it this morning. So you never use it? Is the price on the island the same as with the letter they sent (~$700) if you do buy it?

no, definitely do not ever use it. i brougth down a stethoscope with me, and i used it once. there is definitely no NEED to buy it. whether you want to spend the $700 or not, that's up to you, some people do just because they will need it at some point maybe, but...no, it's not needed. even if you dont have a stethoscope or BP cuff, the school or club will have some extras, and you can always borrow from someone who does have one.

i dont know about the price though, anyone else know if it's more expensive when the guy sets up his table at school?

Do not buy this kit. It is a complete waste of $$$. SGU takes enough money from you, don't let them take anymore. If you still feel the need to buy something, invest in a good stethescope - its good to start getting the hang of it and you will use it for some labs in first year.

No, the only thing you will want your own of eventually (for clinicals, etc.) is a stethoscope. I will let someone that's been through Vinnies comment on the usefulness of the oto/opthalamoscope there.

Don't know if the prices are the same down here or not... I think one of the stipulations for the "special" price is shipping to a US address, but I am not sure, as I never checked into it.

    kit

The kit is not a necessity unless yoy really want it. I got it because my mom has high blood pressure and i used it often to check her pressure and the opthalmoscope was a neat toy to have!!! But if you just get a stethoscope you will be fine.
