    But the PD Kit

    Advertisements

I would have to disagree with those telling you not to buy the PD kit. I am in the process of finishing fourth term and the kit has been invaluable to me. Though you may not need the kit in your first term, in fourth term you will use at least twice every week in PD lab. You will also find it convenient to have your kit to practice with while you are preparing for PD practical quizes and the midterm and final practical exam. It also gets really annoying having to mooch of your collegues. It also comes with a CD of heart sounds which is great when you are taking physio.

i have found that you could get them cheaper if you buy it urself.
and for the CD, littman has an offer that if you buy their stethoscope and provide the receipt and proof they will mail u a CD of all the heart sounds. im not sure if they are still offering this.

cardiology III vs. Classic II S.E.

Does any one know what is the different between Littman cardiology III vs. Litmann Classic II S.E? The med kit has Cardiology III. I got a Classic II S.E as a gift already. Can I still use Classic II S.E? I hope this is on the topic since I am taking about one of the things on Med kit.

For the most part all of it. It even comes with a way to hone your optic disk finding skills. You may be able to find it cheaper that what the school suggests but I wanted to make sure that I had everything that I needed. The clinical tutors also have the same kit so they can really show you how to use the equipment.
In Fourth term PD is an actual graded course where you begin to combine everything you learned in anatomy, physio, neuro, path, micro, etc, definitily do not skimp on preparing in this course, you actually gain tangible skills that you will use in the future regardless of your specialty.
