I believe the library has a section for casual reading. Near the front doors on the right. I think most of the books are donated so selection varies but you may get lucky. As for buying books it is hit or miss. A guest speaker at our white coat ceremony mentioned that a book boat comes to the island once a year. You may want to look into this and see if it is still running.
as a book lover i think the best thing to do is 1. bring a few books from home, and 2. swap books with your friends.
everyone is going to bring something down, if only for the flight, and the library has some alright selections, but nothing amazing. so bring a few down with you, but remember that you wont really have a lot of time to do reading, at least not first term. i had a bit more time second term to read for pleasure, but not much...i brought two books down with me and i am just finishing my second, and most of the reading happened during term 3...

Grenadians dont read... really most of us dont(I dont know why!) so the book stores here would be tiny and very limited. I would like to get my hands on A Clockwork Orange...since my bastard friend would not lend me his copy.
Not so much in limbo really
