    Hotels & The Fam

Could anyone suggest some hotels name that would be in a good, convenient area close to school for the family to stay. The Lonely Planet through out some names, but alas -post IVAN a couple are not quite up running. I think currently we were looking at the Flamboyant (great name) or some Blue Horizon or Blue or Green something place....any comments on these or other suggestions would be great. Mid range, comfy stuff - pref. not too over the top.
    Thanks - Moniqua

Does anyone have any experience at the Grand Beach Resort? I'm most likely going to be booking a room there since it's close to the Grand Anse dorms, correct ?

True Blue is walking distance to school but its about a half mile away and the cab will run you about 20Ec for an additional 5EC towards cab fare your family could stay at the Rex and have a beach, (True blue bay resort does not have a beach), have complimentary tea in the afternoon, and free breakfast. True Blue Bay resort is also home to Stuarts bar which can get roudy with Vet and medical students. The rex is best overall cheaper, more inclusive, and there is a pretty nice beach.

    Hope this helps.
Really? Looks pretty empty every time I pass it from the beach side on the dive boat...

    Cool though...

I was referring to the night time crowd, esp Weds when the crowd can get pretty big and loud.

Oh I was talking about the Rex.... It didn't look like it was operational yet... Should have trimmed the quote...

Until mid July the rex is not fully operational all their amenites will not be able available. So right now they have a special rate of $140 per night including breakfast, dinner and drinks. And until mid July the only rooms that they have completed are the Hillside.
