There a way I can have all that forwarded to my yahoo or other account? I hate that there are no options and there isnt even a logout button. Can I configure Outlook to access it?

No forwarding, but you can access it via POP3 (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.)Originally Posted by dvp95

Did you pay for the Yahoo Mail Plus? The free version doesn't include POP3 access (which you need to download your messages to Outlook or any other desktop email program).Originally Posted by jaywalk81

If you are interested in the Yahoo MailPlus, it's $20/year:

you guys have any experience with thunderbird? I read about it and it sounds pretty good. Is it better than outlook?
Just a heads up to anyone using SGU email for official stuff. I have on more than one occasion my email lost on SGU servers. I wont get into the details but the fact is some important information didnt get to me several times. Also email that i assumed left my mailbox because it didnt bounce back did not arrive to the intended destination. A neophyte i am not.Originally Posted by dvp95
What is more than likely happening is that the sender probably did send the info to the SGU servers but for whatever reason the servers truncate it or often delete it and you would never know. I tested it extensively the times i had email missing by emailing myself from other accounts.
I have been bugging IT for the longest time for these issues and they fail to acknowledge a problem.
Just recently an email of financial matters just arrived to me days before deadline.
Do this.
If SGU is communicating with you keep your SGU account just for that. If you have another address which is more reliable then use that one. Given the track record make sure you have a working alternate email address for official announcments from ECFMG or your financial institution.
Thunderbird is a great program. I would be using it instead of the virus-prone, utterly insecure Microsoft Outlook, but I can't synch my mail on my PDA with Thunderbird. :-(Originally Posted by dvp95
