    SGU acceptance for January 2018

    Advertisements

    Hello

I got accepted into the 6 year MD program. I am very excited to start school. I have been following threads about SGU on this website since I got accepted in August. I am starting in January 2019. I guess I have a very long time to prepare for this year. I just would like some people to tell me how is the island and how long do I need to study on a daily basis. I have hobbies that I love to do like playing football and watching football also swimming but Iím very open to new activities. So I would like to know what is there to do on the island in regards to new activities.

Current term 2 SGU student here,

Everyone finds the island differently. Some enjoy the island, some hate it, and some just feel indifferently. That being said, it is a relatively safe island imo as long as you apply common sense as you would in your country (not going out late by yourself, staying away from dangerous areas/activities/substance etc). It isn't so much of how LONG you study but how EFFICIENTLY you study. You gotta learn to study smart here. So I would stay away from quantifying your knowledge by hours spent studying. You need to study smart, and use your time and resources wisely. Keep in mind though, when you get here you will continue to change and evolve your study habits to what works best for you so don't stress too much about this aspect as of yet. Just remember to always be diligent, use resources wisely, and seek help if you're having difficulty as soon as possible instead of waiting til the end. Thats my $0.02.
