    What to do during Summer

Hi there, thanks for reading my question.

I'm applying to the incoming class of January 2011. I'm married with two kids and have two jobs to support my family. As I attended undergrad, the federal govt helped us get by. I know this won't be the case in the Island so Loans, here I go. My problem is the following: In the states I can work during summers, what do I do in the Island if I get in? Do I just have to take out the max amount of loans possible or I have to seek out private loans for the summer period. I notice there is a huge gap, from May til Aug if you are accepted to the Jan 2011 class. For those of you who have families in the island, would you care to comment. Thank you in advance for any response!

Seeing as clinicals (if all goes according to plan) should end in November 2014, there should be enough time to work on pre-matching that winter as well as going for the match in Spring of 2015.
No, you should start residency in July 2015. What you aren't getting is that clinicals WILL NOT be complete in Nov 2014.

Otherwise, you just contradicted yourself a couple times.

    Let's hope you don't have a 5th academic year.

Well, there are plenty of things you can do in summer. First of all, you can go on vacation (if there's such a chance and if you can afford it), travel somewhere you've always wanted, swim in the sea or lake, or simply enjoy good weather and have a picnic outdoors. Also, you can play table tennis, badminton or volleyball with your friends or family, or just go camping. Reading books, drawing, listening to music and watching films is also good if you prefer passive rest.
