    Dating/Relationships at SGU

    Advertisements

My biggest concern about SGU is being able to stay happy in my new environment. I know that I'll find a way to enjoy studying, but I am concerned about my social life. I simply cannot do well academically if I feel alone. I've read about the night life there and I still have questions.

What is the general mood like over at SGU when it comes to socializing? I imagine that once the "I'm in med school" mentality settles in that most people should become pretty happy, outgoing, talkative. What differences have you noticed in your social life at SGU compared to undergrad? I

Would you say that students at SGU were more social as premeds than their mainland peers? I know its a huge generalization. I just figure that maybe as premeds they spent more time partying than the rest.

I'll be upfront and say that my academics have been far better, psychologically and on paper, when I've had a girlfriend. So, please tell me anything at all that might be of help. Thanks.

All the SGU grads I've met thus far have been engaged or married to someone that they met at SGU.
